Nesvizh Palace to receive 1m tourists annually

updated on 08/04/2013

According to the complex director, Mr. S. Klimov, these perspectives are not exaggerated: in 2012 around 440k tourists visited the museum, while the total number of visitors the castle has seen since 2007 is over 2m visitors. The palace-and-park complex no longer requires state finance while.

Over 70 events were held here last year, including theatre performances, concerts of classical music and ball parties. Every Sunday live music can be heard in Nesvizh Palace also contributing to the rising number of visitors.

Massive inflow of tourists brought to light narrow spots - the castle can serve 400 visitors at a time so a need emerged to separate the guests: new animated tours, including tours to the restored underground passes will also be held on-site.

A new museum will be open in the Slutsk Gate and the town hall exhibition will be renewed. Nesvizh palace-and-park complex is going to increase its presence in the city by hosting different events like Craftsman's Day for children and suchlike.

The tourist infrastructure of Nesvizh is going to grow. Currently there are 2 hotels in Nesvizh Palace with the total capacity of 50 along with a restaurant, cafe and a souvenir store whose last year's turnover amounted to USD 800m. The museum tour guides have been arranged into a separate department while the number of electronic guides has increased from 35 to 150.
